Such a beautiful day

They say in the news: It has been the coldest night since 1987.
I'm very glad to live in a house where I can turn a knob and the heating works and the rooms are warm. That was not always the case, about 10 years ago this house was in a very bad state and we heated with coal. Even though we burned a lot of wood and coal I had to wear several pullovers, because the room wouldn't get warm enough. And the water taps and tubes froze nearly every winter.

I'm not used to degrees Fahrenheit - to me that looks like it would be much warmer than it really is. 14°F - that would be -10° Celsius.
