Quilting and embroidery day
Today I decided to make a bag for my quilting thread. Fortunately I only have thread from Gütermann, the loose ends of the spool can be fastened to the spool itself so there will be no mess when I store those in a bag. I started with embroidering the fabric for the bags' front:

Last summer I was at a womens camp where embroidery was very in. I was totally uninterested in it. But now I find embroidery very relaxing and it's got style.
I've got a sheepskin rug with really long black fur from an icelandic sheep on my floor and I like to sit on that while stitching. (It can't be seen in the photo, though)

Besides that I continued to quilt my double nine patch quilt. So here are the two - little hoop and big hoop:

Yesterday I bought an mp3 player out of frustration. My old player broke this week and when I couldn't find one I liked at the electronic-stuff-supermarket, I went to a small shop and bought one which isn't very good eighter, just because I had spent 2 hours searching the right one for me without result and didn't want to go home without one. So I wasted 2 hours and 35 Euros and got home and hated this device immediately.
Why was I so stupid and bought it in the first place? I don't buy many things so the things I have must be things I really like. They must be easy to use, easy to understand and they must have a good design.
The player I would have liked turned out to be an older model from Cowon and happened to be on sale at the big capitalist online store starting with the letter A. They had only 4 of them left. So I hope that I get one of those last 4 players and the other one will go to ebay.
And I found out that it's of no use to try to drink water from a glass. I'm a person who drinks 2,5 - 3 litres of water per day in winter and 3-4,5 litres in summer, and if I would drink from a glass I would have to refill that more than 20 times! No, that's too much refilling for my tastes. The 1,5 litres-Volvic bottle is my friend!
